Saying Thanks To Our Troops

06-Jan-2012 In 2005, local business leader Gene Sit approached Magnet 360 Co-Founders Scott Litman and Dan Mallin with a vision for the Minnesotans Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF), an organization that would say "Thanks" to all Minnesotans that have served in the military since 2001. Scott and Dan embraced the idea and joined a group of prominent business and community leaders to create this organization.

Using their vast network of marketing and technology resources, Scott & Dan helped develop the website, the email marketing campaigns, promotional collateral, videos, media, PR and more. Since its inception, the organization has raised over $12 Million and provided grants to more then 12,000 returning troops and their families. These grants range from $500 to each service member returning from combat, up to $10,000 to those who’ve been seriously injured during their tour of duty. Families of a Minnesota service member killed in action receive $5,000.

Scott & Dan continue to serve on the programs steering committee and leverage the amazing Magnet 360 Network to support the ongoing mission of MMAF. Recently, the U of M alumni publication "Reach" featured MMAF and the involvement of our co-founders. To read the story and learn more about MMAF, read on.
