Magnet 360 Executive Briefing

08-Nov-2010 On the morning of October 26, Magnet 360 hosted a group of 75 clients and prospects at The Metropolitan to learn about the latest in social media marketing. The focus was that there's a lot of theory being tossed around about social media, but what about the practical application? How does it align with marketing strategy? What's actually working? Magnet 360 co-founder Scott Litman opened with "We need to go beyond the shiny object syndrome and focus on how this technology can drive business results". In the following 90 minutes, 8 presenters provided real world examples including :

Social Media Insights, Understanding and leveraging the social habits of your target audience by Patty Radford Henderson of Magnet 360
Content Curation, How to use user-generated content to increase site effectiveness by Joseph Rueter of Curation Station
Content Creation and Seeding, Effective uses of content on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook by Brooke Brown of Popular Front
Social Commerce, From airline bookings to e-commerce, it can now be found in your Facebook news feed by Wade Gerten of Alvenda
Search, Social media and its impact on natural search and paid targeting by Nina Hale of Nina Hale Inc.
Social CRM, Online communities and integration with CRM by Matt Meents of Reside
Lead Management, Using user-generated data to drive sales by Ron Corbisier of Relationship One
Social Analytics, How to effectively bring measurement to a user-generated world by Rob Silas of Numerical Truth

This was a first of its kind event for Magnet 360, but one that we look to repeat. In follow up survey sent out the following day, 91% of respondents thought highly of the quality of presentations and overall value of attending the event. Further, 96% of respondents plan to attend similar such events in the future, and 96% also would recommend the event to a friend.
