Curation Station
The tool gathers content in real time and posts updates to a web-based dashboard. Users can then select from all the content in the dashboard which they would like to share and comment on the different items. Users distribute what they've curated on web pages or blogs and customize the "station" to fit their needs.
Curation Station provides businesses with new degrees of control, and enables them to react quickly and to lead and inspire audiences. At the foundation of the product is the ability to establish easier content strategy and publishing, allowing for consistently fresh and relevant content on anyone's website.
Led by Jennifer Iwanicki and Joseph Rueter, the product was designed to fit the needs of corporate marketers charged with developing content for a blog or keeping up-to-date with online chatter about their brands and deciding what should be shared. However, the user base has expanded to other marketers, brand managers, publishers, pundits, and thought-leaders all across the business community.
The tool has a wide range of uses, from retailers like Alexis Hudson sharing user-based product feedback with site visitors, to corporate intranets publishing competitive, industry and / or company related information for their employees. After implementing Curation Station, Alexis Hudson saw a 3x increase in conversions on their site. At Magnet 360, we have deployed Curation Station to our site (bottom right corner of the home page) and are working on content strategies with numerous customers that intend to deploy this new technology in the near future.
